Chalet La Varappe is a truly special alpine home, rich in history and character, offering an exceptional blend of authenticity and refined comfort in the heart of Méribel. Originally built by the founder of Poma, the chalet’s interiors are crafted from wood cleared during the creation of Méribel’s lift system, giving it a deeply rooted alpine heritage and a wonderfully warm, inviting atmosphere. Once a private residence, it now opens its doors as an exclusive retreat for guests seeking understated luxury and a true sense of home in the mountains.

At the centre of the chalet is a beautifully cosy yet elegant sitting room, where a striking stone fireplace, carefully curated antiques, and classic furnishings create the perfect setting to unwind after a day on the slopes. The dining room, with its rich textures, book-lined walls, and seating for ten, offers a relaxed yet sophisticated space to enjoy memorable evenings over exceptional food and wine.

Chalet La Varappe accommodates up to 10 guests across five individually styled en-suite bedrooms, three of which can be configured as either twin or double beds (two as super-king and one as king), offering excellent flexibility for different group types. Two bedrooms feature balconies, while the master bedroom benefits from both a bath and separate shower. An additional attic room under the eaves provides a cosy sleeping space for two children, making the chalet ideal for families as well as mixed groups.

Designed with both relaxation and enjoyment in mind, the chalet features a steam room, TV and games room, and a large ski room with heated boot racks. Outside, generous terraces, a private garden, and an outdoor hot tub invite you to soak in the mountain surroundings long after the skiing day ends. A full suite of entertainment is also available, including a state-of-the-art TV and sound system, Apple TV, an extensive film library, Nintendo Switch, Wi-Fi, and more.

Located just a short walk from the centre of Méribel and only a 5-minute drive from the main lift hub, Chalet La Varappe combines convenience with tranquillity.
